Intellectual property

Blueprint Law's intellectual property practice boasts recognised expertise in all fields of registered and unregistered rights, including copyright, trademarks, design rights and patents. We provide commercial and strategic advice across a range of industries, including information technology, entertainment, publishing and brand-rich businesses.

We have been recognised for our intellectual property expertise by being awarded 'Leading Firm' status by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific Guide for 2012.

We are able to assist with all forms of exploitation and protection of intellectual property assets. We have the requisite expertise to prepare, review and negotiate agreements to license, sell and otherwise commercialise and protect intellectual property and confidential information. We can also assist with enforcing rights, including acting in relation to copyright and trade mark infringements, domain name recovery, passing-off and other disputes.

We are also able to conduct IP audits to help prepare businesses for sale, as part of due diligence or generally to increase value or maintain good house-keeping. We advise on brand protection strategies and assist with creating and implementing trade mark programs locally and internationally. We register and renew trademarks, advise on pre-filing strategy and searches, prosecute and contest oppositions, as well as conduct removal actions.
