[30-11-2010] - UK High Court acknowledges copyright infringement in headlines

The High Court, in a dramatic change to a long-standing principle of copyright law, has recently ruled that copyright can subsist in newspaper headlines. The Court found there to be an infringement by a media monitoring service that reproduced headlines without permission of the copyright owner.
